Re: DBUG> DataCAD: CNC Sunflower Grille
Mike,
I modeled the Sunflower Grille in 3D, along with the 2D version. Both brought up
and revised simultaneously.
For the CNC dudes, I e-mailed the following:
A DWG file.
A PDF file of what the working drawing "should" look like. Always a good idea.
A couple of JPGs of screen captures of o2c views of the digital 3D model.
So those four files made for solid communication, no problems at all.
One file (the DWG) would have been adequate, though. I prefer getting a job done
right the first time, though, if possible, and the additional files I think help
in that regard. Especially the screen captures of the o2c views of the 3D model.
The guys there at the metal shop then knew pretty much exactly what I wanted,
and they nailed it.
