I'm wondering about the socket on the motherboard -- Socket 77*5* is 
fine.  And I think that is what the CPU is -- so they must match.  The 
E8400 would be a better choice, because it is more efficient.

I think the fastest passively cooled video card you can get that has 
dual DVI outputs would be fine: nVidia 8600GTS, of something from this
