Countdown to the Maker Faire.

See link below for a couple of pics of the taijitu (yin-yang symbol) being painted on the underside of the Platform.

Only the first two pics show the taijitu.

Our work is nearly complete. I still have work to do on the bottom tier of struts (mostly grinding, which is a real grind).

All the tasks related to the Mega Tripod, which is second exhibit in the duet, are complete as of today, including repainting all the woodwork, fabricating a new 32' tall mast twice the diameter of the original (with a custom fabricated coupling), and even a "toon" faux camera to sit on top. No pics of all that; sorry. It's all in a big stack in the staging area ready to be loaded up for the trek to San Mateo.

Be there or be HEXAGONAL! (The Mirador layout follows a geometric progression based on hexagons.)
