Okay, so I'm wondering if there isn't a problem with the Oce driver, like a 
memory leak or something that causes the crash.  Maybe you should have your 
System Resource Meter running while you plot next time and see if the 
computer's memory is getting absorbed and not returned by the driver.

Or maybe try a generic HPGL/2 driver like the one from HP.  (I can never 
remember the name.)
