Re: DBUG> Some Plotting Questions
Hello Ben:
<< Number one - We can typically only get up to five plot files created
correctly in one sitting. After that, if DataCAD is not shut down and
restarted, all appears to be plotting correctly when in reality the plot
files show up with 0 bytes of info. It appears to progressively degenerate.>>
How much RAM in the Oce? It sounds like the que gets full, and then DataCAD
kicks out an error.
<<Number two - A typical set of working drawings for us consists of ten to
twelve sheets. I kid you not, at least one drawing in every set will plot
out with line weights all the same. We open DataCAD, replot the drawing and
the file will be a few bytes bigger and plot correctly. WHY??>>
What version of DataCAD are you using? This was a bug in some earlier
versions. Sometimes a Layer Utility helped, but the latest versions are
fixed.
<<Number three - Does everyone else find that once the plot command has been
started, that you're committed until it is done, otherwise DataCAD crashes? >>
Yes, I can confirm this. This has been the case for a long time, in my
experience, back to the DOS versions.
Sincerely, Neil Blanchard
