Ah, Rapidographs!  When I was in highschool (early 70s) my mom worked for the 
drafting division of a large government facility.  Everything they did was 
with ruling pens on blue linen.  That stodgy old dept. almolst fell flat when 
all the departments which had to rely on them began using PC based drafting 
and desktop publishing.

One of my first investments when starting my firm was a sonic cleaner for 
rapidographs.  Once we bought our first pen plotter, its use fell off.  Now 
we have ink jets, and the sonic cleaner now takes care of my wife's rings 
after a day of gardening.
