In Datacad v. 8.05, use a high resolution screen, with the drawing in the
position you want (line drawing or quickshade) and with a white or black
background as desired.
Go to "Window", "Save as Bitmap", and save as a .bmp file, your only choice.
Convert to a .gif with a program such as Graphic Workshop. Crop if needed.
For example, a 1499x1072pixel x 256 color datacad graphic used less
bandwidth, 128k as a .gif, and 310k as a .jpg file. Black and white
graphics especially seem much smaller in .gif files (pronounced "giff") than
.jpg (pronounced "jay-peg").
Edit your web page's hypertext markup language (html) to load the graphic
when needed. Consider adding 100x100 pixel "thumbnail" versions if you have
several pictures, and let the user chose which they want to load full-size.
I used the book HTML 4 for Dummies, but you can also steal the code from my
page if you want, and edit to suit.
Upload the graphic files to your web page site as required by your service
provider. May require a FTP program that already comes with windows.
I have examples of 2d and 3d Datacad graphics at the bottom of one of my
pages at http://home.att.net/~g.wheeler/tankhous.htm
