Domenic you hit the nail on the head. DCADWin suffers from hatching
and text regens mostly. If you can afford a PentiumII this will help
to a large degree, otherwise I'm afraid you will have to play with a
couple of settings that could speed up regens. For Instance in the
display menu turning ShowHatch off, setting SmallTXT and SmallSym to
about 8. You can also set arcfactor to 1 which will speed up regens
if you have used many curves in the drawing.

You can also configure your system as per Mark Madura's previous
post. In case you missed it goto start, settings control panel and
select system. Now select the performance tab and under file system
set it to network server. Set graphics to full and Virtual Memory
select let me specify my own virtual memory settings and set minimum
and maximum to about 2.5 times the amount of ram you have. I.E for
64MB Ram set to 160MB making sure there is plenty of hard drive space
available for this.

You could ask Mark Madura if they are developing any cure along
this line.

I will stick with DCADWIN8.05 as most of the work I do is heavy 3d
modeling and on my PC a PentiumII 350MHZ 8MB AGP Diamond Viper and
192MB Ram it simply, FLIES.

Best of Luck
