Re: DBUG> exporting dwg

Thanks for the prompt reply. But no go still.

I first get a message that says "This program is set to run in MS DOS mode.
All other programs will shut down if you continue. Do you want to
continue?" Then when I continue, nothing happens, and I have to
Cntrl/Alt/Delete to get out. At the Windows box to shut down whatever isn't
responding, I select Winoldap(not responding). That takes me back to Dcad.

It could be a Windows98 thing. Something new I suppose. I did get a dxf
file without much trouble.

After trying to make a dwg file the last time, I got a "fault 36 Error from
809. Then Access violation at address 00419ECO Read address FFFFFFFF.

Any more help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim Allen

Jim and others

It is my experience that when writing a dwg file from dcad8win with
long file names you get this error.
If this is the case rename the file using the old 8 digit format,
exit DataCAD and restart. Load the renamed drawing and try again - It
should work.
What happens is that with the long file name, DataCAD when writing
the dwg file looks for a short name truncated i.e name~1.swp but
cannot find this file (long file.swp file name).

hope this helps
