Ok guys, there is a cure. The cheapware CD item #P80 CurvLeder by
John Fornaro probably will substitute for the built in leader
function. 

I've also got one available from Cheapware called "Tick" that
does the much the same thing, adding in the architectural "Tick"
style of arrow head.

In both cases you get to select the color etc. of the arrowhead
independently from anything else.
