7.04 text arrows

Seems to me like another bright idea someone in programming had that nobody
asked for. Like you I have my dim tick marks .5 white, and my text arrows
are .4 whatever color the text is.  Programmers... we love you, we admire
you, we wish we could do what you do, we know you have good intentions, but
really, did anybody ever ask for this feature?
