corrupt layer and lyrutil
HELP!!!!
Here I am working on a deadline, trying to add notes and information to a
drawing file and am consistently getting kicked out of DataCad.
Here is the background information on my dilemma -
The drawing file is 7,684KB, rather large but it was done in a way so that
various 3D views could be generated. The file contains both 2D and 3D saved
views. The drawing file was started in V7.02, but then was worked on in
V7.04 when a beta version was installed. Last week, another employee who is
still using V7.02 worked in this file and added a few layers. I have since
moved those files to a different file and deleted them from my "problem
file".
Now the problem - Everytime I try to plot or WindowIn Recalc I get kicked out
of the program. I am using multilayout plotting, however I have tried
plotting sheets that contain details that were not altered in any way with
the additional information. I have also tried redefining saved views that
grew due to the new information and I have tried doing a WindowIn Extents on
single layers that were not saved as views. In all of these instances, I
have gotten the same result - kicked out of the program.
I have tried doing a LyrUtil saving all layers and was kicked out. I then
tried turning on all layers using both methods, i.e. Layers, AllOn and
Layers, On/Off and selecting each layer individually. By using the second
method, I was kicked out when I selected a layer that contained 3D hatch. I
then tried doing a LyrUtil saving only the layers up to that layer. I was
able to save the layers but when I tried to load them into a new file, I was
kicked out once more. I have even tried deleting the corrupt layer, but when
I do a LyrUtil after doing so, I get kicked out.
Does anyone have any insight or solutions to this problem???
To make matters worse, the person who did the original work on this project
has departed the company for bigger and better things, so I have no way of
knowing exactly what is on the potential corrupt layer.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me through this one!
