AnyKey keyboard

I have a Gateway anykey keyboard and with all of the discussion about the
programmable keys recently, I programmed one set of my function keys as Shift
Function keys.  Now the problem.  When I boot up, the keyboard no longer
recognizes the keys as they were programmed, they are back to their original
F whatever keys.  The program light is not on after boot up which led me to
believe maybe the maros were suspended but when I press Suspnd macro and the
program light comes on, the programmed keys are still not programmed to their
shift-fuction keys.  

I run datacad 7.04 under a dos window in win95.  There is nothing in my
config sys or autoexec.bat lines that even references this keyboard and there
never has been.   I have the settings saved in the Anykey utility, but I
haven't seen anything in the documentation that would lead me to believe I
would need to upload my settings to the keyboard every time I boot up.  Any
suggestions or ideas?
