startup conflict

I'm hoping someone might have some pointers for a problem in which I'm in
over my head:

I recently had a Promise EIDE Pro controller card installed to handle a new
2 gig hard drive. I'm now getting some sort of conflict with my graphics
card (an ATI Mach 32 Ultra Pro) in which Datacad won't recognize it as VESA
capable and Rundcad won't open the program. If I re-config to the IBM VGA
Small Font, Datacad will open but at a lousy res. Anyone have any clues?

System info:
Datacad 7.02
Pentium 60
WFW 3.11/DOS 6.2
Western Digital 2.1 gig
Western Didgital 540 meg
24 Meg RAM

One techie suggested it might be a conflict in QEMM optimize and that I need
to exclude a location (D2000H), but this is where it begins to sound like
gibberish to me.
