Hello DataCAD Folks:

It's great to see so much new traffic on our DataCAD forum as of late.  
You'll have to forgive me for "poking a stick into the beehive" last week, 
but after slow no traffic week, I wanted to see if you were still paying 
attention.

To answer Bill D'Amico's question, we currently have about 100 subscribers 
on this forum mailing list (a few more log on every day) and I have counted 
maybe 25 or so active participants, so our ratio of active vs. read-only is 
more like 4:1 -- better than CompuServe's 30 to 1.

Charley Ferrucci of Cadkey told me this morning that DataCAD 6 is ready to 
ship immediately and that the sales phone has been ringing off the hook.  
However the Estimator link still needs to be finished, so that part of the 
package may not be ready until January.  Also due to the CD Christmas game 
rush, DataCAD 6 on CD is not ready but purchasers are being offered the 
option to get DataCAD 6 on floppy disks to avoid any delay.

As for difficulties posting messages to the right location -- I know that 
is a continued problem as I even get confused about it.  But it might help 
if as many of you who are so inclined would please copy the signature 
listed below and use it at the tail end of your messages also to remind 
people of how to respond and post new messages to this forum.
