Glad to see that my comment asking how many people are out there flushed a 
few people out - Phil Hart and Dick Reinholdt to boot!

I understand the comment made about the fact that this forum is an 'open 
mike' as David Pendery put it in an earlier message, and that can be 
intimidating and somewhat of a deterrent to posting messages.

I am curious about the need for direct DWG translation support expressed by 
several people.  I am well aware of how useful it would be, but I am going 
to play devil's advocate here because this issue and the lack of display 
driver support point to the same identity crisis problem that DataCAD now 
has.  In spite of its legacy as a professional CAD product, DataCAD is now a 
$150 product.  So I would ask:

1) How many $150 CAD products have direct DWG read/write?

2) If this feature were added, should it cost extra?  How much?

There is one question that I would like feed back on;  How many of you have 
AUTOCAD in your firm along with DataCAD ?
