Video drivers for DataCAD ...

I noticed some e-mail regarding the lack of a video driver for the S3
864/964 chipset.  This is true.  However, we have made some recent bug
fixes to the VESA driver for DataCAD which should make for more reliable
operation of this driver for the many video cards which support the VESA
specification--particularly at the higher resolutions.

If you wish to obtain a copy of this driver, it may be obtained via
CompuServe in the Library section for GO CADKEY, or downloaded from
the Cadkey Bulletin Board Service at (203) 298-6405.

Many years ago, Cadkey, Inc. made the error of not purchasing the source
code to the S3 video driver and the lack of this source is holding up
the development of an updated driver for the 864/964 chipset.  We are
presently investigating/negotiating the procurement of this source so
that we can develop an updated S3 driver.  However, I have many reports
which indicate that the VESA driver works just fine with the S3 driver
with the 864/964 chipset.

The updated VESA driver will be automatically shipped with DataCAD 6,
both updates and full versions.
