DBUG> Windows XP - OT

To be absolutely honest I may have to admit that I was wrong on this one.
I've been one of the outspoken critics of XP's registration policies and the
privacy ramifications - and I assumed that I would not migrate to it. Then
this past week I bit the bullet. Ongoing OS problems with Win98 become too
frustrating and I made the switch. It wasn't easy as I decided to format the
HD's. Since the XP upgrade won't install from DOS I had to reinstall Win98,
then Xp, then all me backed up files, reload programs - and still maintain
this mornings deadline. What a week.

Now the good news. XP is FAST!! Datacad X opens in 1/2 the time (and it was
no slouch before). Plotting over the network from dcadX takes 1/4th the
time - at the most! Real sweet. My 56K dialup connection looks speedy now.

All the conversions and new drivers are a real pain - but the payoff is
real, and is saving me time, money and a lot of frustration.
