 Neil is correct, I might add a little more, having just learned from the
same situation. Open the TPL file in Notepad, you will be able to see where
Datacad thinks the sym files are. What I did was relocate the sm3 files,
then all was well. You can edit the file for new directory locations, but I
had enough on my plate. It is all in the Smith Morse Official Guide in the
chapter on symbol libraries
