Patrick,

I apologize for the delay, and thank you for your patience.

I too had difficulty plotting the bitmap image. I contacted softTech
technical support in Germany for assistance and have learned the
following:

To print a *.pof file, it must be a 2 color version of the file.
The SWConvert.exe utility allows you to change deeper color *.pcx
files into 2 color *.pofs, but results may vary. You will probably
get better results using a graphics program to convert the file to 2
colors before bringing it into DataCAD Plus.

You then need to use the macro PixPlot to plot the image.

If you plotter runs out of memory, try turning Pix 1st on to overlay
the image with vector data.

DataCAD Plus version 10 is currently in development, and will be
released shortly. This next version will be a free upgrade to current
DataCAD Plus users. It will have a different implementation of image
file import and printing, which will not have the same limitations as
the current version.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Regards,

Mark A. Toce
