DBUG> Dell computers

I was (an am by looking at HW around office) a Gateway supporter. I've
found that tech support is quite good. At some point their HW response
is: We will send a replacement xxxx board out UPS (with or without a
technician) and that should clear up the problem. I suspect this
addresses some obscure HW issue they know of but prefer not to talk
about.

My wife and some friends have Dells. I think their tech support is
fabulous. I think the whole Dell experience is aimed at providing
technology that the user can work with to complete their WORK.
Presumably most of our work is NOT to tinker with computers so we can
then type a letter. I think it's more fun than drawing and designing,
but I don't get the same pay scale.

Go with the Dell if you like. I couldn't find a way to get the
Hewlett-Packard price to equal Dell with the same level of support
without involving expensive support/sales organizations or purchasing
from Staples (not recommended).

$0.02 from me. Good luck.
