DBUG> File translation from Acad/Cogo

Fellow Dbuggers:

I am trying to bring in a site plan from a Civil engineer, done in Acad14 &
Cogo.  None of the attribute information from the blocks will translate,
either as a .dwg or .dxf.  Has anyone come across this before?  Are there
any solutions?
(the blocks/symbols come in fine, but all the text from the attributes is
missing)
