DBUG> hatch patterns

Here's a simple one but I just can't remember...

Are hatch patterns like linetypes that are position oriented rather than
name recognition? For example if I add or delete a hatch pattern to my
PAT file in the middle of the list, will it change the pattens of
drawings that use a hatch pattern listed behind the one I've deleted or
added?

I want to load some patterns from the Cheap Trick CD's but if it's
position oriented then I'll modify my PAT to put the ones I want at the
end.
