Re: DBUG> New and old questions about DC+ & DC8.x

Thank you very much, Gary. It was most kind of you to answer my
questions.

Some of your replies about new features has made me very eager to
use DC+, but some others have raised a little doubt too.

I'm very disappointed that there is no support for DC8.0 and
lower. Exchange of files is nearly impossible in offices and
among individual users who co-operate with others who still use
one of the lower versions.
I wrote "nearly impossible" as the exchange can only be done via
the foreign DXF or DWG format. A lot of the work already done in
DC+ will be lost or deformed.

Are there plans for the near future to add that DC5-translation
feature to DC+ itself, or as a separate program/macro available
to all DC-fivers?

I still remember the contempt the forum members expressed for
AutoCAD Architectural Desktop, which file format was incompatible
with the majority of other versions of AutoCAD.

Only Helvetica; this still seems rather meagre. English together
with Latin are the only European languages that I can think of,
without accents on letters. DC+, with its German origin, surely
must have some extra fonts.

Ha, that is what I think too! It slows down the machine, just as
it needs all the speed it can get.

Salutations.
