There's another venue here that may be of use in the gnarliest situations:

Prof. Goeffrey Moore Langdon thrives on challenges. I'll bet he would know a
way to ferret-out the problem and return a purdy file, for a very reasonable
fee. He's certainly helped me several times over the years with some sticky
problems.

Parting with a bit of dough, even for a student, is much better than having
to reconstruct a project, especially around "final exam" days in school!

One time, pre-digital days, a beautiful architectural model that I had
slaved countless hours over was squished by a fellow student in design lab
when he fell from his hammock into my cubicle while sucking down peach
brandy. If only I could have backed up THAT.
