DBUG> DCAD+

As a one-man design/build team, here are my thoughts about the new program:

a. Given the time it has taken me to become proficient in DAD, I am really
reluctant to change to an entirely new program unless it is very clear that
doing so would save considerable design time in the future. It appears from
what I have read that DCAD+ is transitional in nature, so the learning curve
will not be lengthy;

b. Sounds like some of the new features are what I have wanted for a long
time -- particularly the ability to simultaneously modify 2D construction
drawings and 3D, so when I move or change an opening or a wall it will be
simultaneously reflected in both plans and elevations.

c. The only way to find out if I like the program is to try it -- it should
take me much less than the 45 days full-money-back guarantee to find out.
If the program saves me, say, five hours of work per set of plans (a set
typically takes me about 80 hours), it will pay for itself in two to three
houses;

d.. I am sure there will be glitches in the new program. I will leave DCAD8
installed, just as I have the old DOS7.5 which I use only to generate plot
files for my service bureau.
