DBUG> 8.52
Hello all,
Just read this morning about the latest update for DCAD 8.5, and promptly
downloaded it. The new checkplot feature is great; I love being able to
"print to fit" without having to mess with custom pen tables for each paper
size.
HOWEVER, be careful! The percentage in the "Use This Factor" window under
checkplot settings now controls the percentage of your penweight WHETHER OR
NOT you are actually using the checkplot feature! I set it to print a full
24x36 sheet to my hp 8.5x11 printer which defaulted to 30%. I then went to
plot a full 1/8" scale 8.5x11 (just a portion of my sheet) to the same
printer, and it also came out with lineweights reduced to 30% of my actual
settings, even though I had checked "No" under checkplot. This is only a
minor issue, and I don't mean to diminish the usefullness of the new feature,
but it is kind of annoying and requires careful monitoring. FWIW.
