DBUG> Windows 2000
Diane,
I have to ask why would you want to add another operating system to your
office desktops?
Why would you want to confuse your team with more protocols and
configurations?
Now, if you were moving everybody over to W2000, that could have some
advantages.
Despite ample publicity from Microsoft there is much misunderstanding of
what W2000 really is. It is NOT an upgrade to W98 - that is the upcoming
Millenium edition. It is, as others have said, actually NT5. Now NT has alot
to commend it, particularly as a server, and is undoubtedly more stable than
95 or 98, but when it does go down it really goes down!
If you do not have technical support in-house think very carefully about
migrating to 2000 and please do not mix.
How does it go with DataCAD? I haven't a clue!
